Martin’s Grand McDonald's
A Bank that Shares Her Values
Strong working relationships sometimes lead to connections that have impacts well beyond business.
Martin’s Grand McDonald’s owner/operator, Eva Martin, became a franchise owner after her husband passed away 14 years ago. Her love for the business and for her community led to a significant involvement in Ronald McDonald House of Greater Las Vegas, where she and her team cook dinners for families with sick children and much more. Ultimately, Martin served as president of the local Ronald McDonald House board of directors.
When Martin’s former bank closed, she was left to search for a new banking resource. It was then that she met Joyce Smith of Bank of Nevada. Smith helped her make the transition – initially answering all of Martin’s questions and then exceeding expectations. “Bank of Nevada is excellent because they listen. They are concerned about my needs and they follow up,” says Martin.
Martin also knew Smith could make a difference to her favorite cause, and encouraged her banker to become involved with Ronald McDonald House as a board member.
“Bank of Nevada shares my values in terms of community involvement. In 2015 Joyce and I co-chaired the gala, which was one of the most successful ever. She was so engaged and brought other people on to make this such a memorable event,” said Martin.
Whether it’s about stepping up to community support or delivering reliable day-to-day banking with excellent service, Martin says, “if they say they’re going to do something, they do it. When I call, I don’t get a machine, they know me and they’re not changing people every six months.”
The Martin’s Grand McDonald’s owner also relied on Bank of Nevada when she wanted to pursue a remodel of one of her Las Vegas locations. She credits the loan she received from Bank of Nevada for making the remodel possible, which led to increasing business in that store by 12% in the first year.
She adds, “They are a great team, not just my relationship managers, it’s the tellers and every person that I come in contact with. They are a complete package. They make people feel valued and important.”
